Galaxy Note 6 puts the big in next big thing
The South Korean handset makerSamsung is mainly known for its flagship S series and phablet series, Galaxy Note. Right from its inception through Galaxy Note, the series has been a roaring success for the brand till the last Galaxy Note 5. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was one of the best handsets to come from the brand and features the new design philosophy adopted by Samsung with non removable battery and non expandable storage. Now as it is a norm with high-end Samsung smartphone, Internet is already rife with rumours regarding Galaxy Note 6. Here is a brief overview of all that is known about the upcoming phablet at this point.
Design
It is expected that the South Korean handset maker would not diverge from its newly adopted design and Galaxy Note 6 will come with the same metal unibody design that we saw on Galaxy Note 5. However, it is being speculated that the expandable storage might make a comeback on future devices of Samsung.
Display
The South Korean giant is expected to launch it next big thing with an even bigger 5.8-inch display on the front. Compared to this, Galaxy Note 5 had a smaller 5.7-inch display, which though negligible makes for a slight difference. Moreover, it is being speculated that the upcoming smartphone will feature a Slim RGB AMOLED panel, which is one of the thinnest display in the market as of now. The handset is also touted to come with Quad-HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels for a stunning viewing experience.
User Experience
The new smartphone will come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system pre-installed in it for the convenience and pleasure of the user. The stock Android is skinned by Samsung's own Touchwiz user interface, which received a lot of flak in the past for being laggy and full of bloatwares. However, Samsung has toned down the Touchwiz with lesser bloatwares and the interface feels a lot more snappy now.
Performance and Battery Life
On the performance front, Samsung will be launching the new phablet with an Hexa-core processor that has been clocked at a never been heard before speed of 3.1 GHz. Moreover, it will also feature 6 GB of RAM, which is truly massive and is not even found on most laptops. Considering the RAM and clock speed configuration, we can safely assume that Galaxy Note 6 as and when it comes out would be one of the fastest smartphone around. Also, it is being speculated that the handset maker will be opting for a bigger 4000 mAh battery this time around, which is a good news as the battery is expected to be non removable.
Camera Technology
Samsung is definitely going big guns with its new Galaxy Note device as it is being speculated that the upcoming smartphone would come with a 27 Megapixels snapper. However, this sounds quite superfluous and if anything, we can expect a 21 Megapixels snapper or the 16 Megapixels unit featuring on Galaxy Note 5. The front panel of the handset will also feature an 8 Megapixels selfie camera.
Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is a single SIM smartphone equipped with 4G LTE and 3G bands to ensure a snappy Internet browsing experience. Besides this, it will feature regular bells and whistles including Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, DLNA, NFC, microUSB, Bluetooth and GPS.
Verdict
Samsung is known to promote their Note series of smartphones as next big things and each time a new Note is expected to arrive they set the bar higher for rest of market to follow. All the rumours about Note 6 suggests that this smartphone will come in with a spec sheet that has not even been attempted yet. Though one can expect the handset to be price exorbitantly for the spec sheet that it comes with.
